Mark Zuckerberg makes $1.6 billion in a Week, net worth soars to all-time high

Bolstered by surging revenues, the growing popularity of Facebook Live and the recent debut of a food-delivery service, shares of Facebook rose 1.5% Friday, finishing 3% above Monday’s opening price.

As the company heads toward its quarterly earnings announcement on November 2, the stock is now trading at an all-time high.

Mark Zuckerberg’s net worth, heavily tied to Facebook’s stock performance, has risen to a record $56.6 billion.

The biggest beneficiary is, of course, Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook’s co founder and largest individual shareholder. This week alone Zuckerberg’s net worth increased by more than $1.6 billion to an estimated $56.6 billion; he is currently the fifth-wealthiest person in the world, according to FORBES’ real-time ranking of The World’s Billionaires, ahead of Mexico’s Carlos Slim, once the planet’s richest person.

Facebook has had an all-around stellar 2016. Shares are up over a quarter since January 1, despite briefly slumping soon after the New Year. As a result, Zuckerberg, who has a controlling voting interest in the company, jumped to fourth place on this year’s edition of The Forbes 400, up from seventh in 2015. He is now behind only Microsoft’s Bill Gates, Amazon’s Jeff Bezos and Berkshire Hathaway’s Warren Buffett.

Analysts remain almost universally confident that the social media giant will continue to post strong results. With Facebook’s third-quarter earnings report around the corner, the business is projected to bring in roughly $7 billion in revenue, driven by huge growth in video advertising, particularly on mobile.

Dangote sacks 36 expatriate and 12 Nigerian workers

Nigeria’s biggest employers of labour aside the government, Dangote Group has fired 48 members of staff.

Africa and Nigeria’s richest man, Aliko Dangote.

The sack of the workers was not unconnected with the current high cost of running business in the country occasioned by the unavailability of foreign exchange and the unprecedented hike in the naira to dollar exchange rate.

Recession is biting hard as Nigeria’s biggest employers of labour aside the government, Dangote Group has fired 48 members of staff.

The group which is owned by Africa and Nigeria’s richest man, Aliko Dangote sacked 36 expatriate and 12 Nigerian workers from the group’s headquarters and one of the subsidiaries, Dangote Cement Plc.

According to a report by Punch newspaper, the sack of the workers was not unconnected with the current high cost of running business in the country occasioned by the unavailability of foreign exchange and the unprecedented hike in the naira to dollar exchange rate.

It was reported that  the huge amounts in foreign currencies being paid to the expatriate workers had become a burden on Dangote due to the steady depreciation in the value of the naira and the difficulties of raising enough dollars.

Consequently, the firm decided to replace the expatriates with Nigerians who have acquired the requisite experience on the job, as paying them in naira will be less problematic.

The sacked Nigerian workers were however fired for disciplinary issues.

In a letter signed by the President/Chief Executive Officer, Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, dated Thursday, October 20, 2016, and seen by Punch, Dangote said it was constrained to take the “tough” decision as economic factors had affected the cost of production.

The letter, which was titled: ‘Recent Retirement Exercise’ read in part, “This year has been a very challenging year for us as a business. The unavailability of foreign exchange coupled with an unprecedented hike in the exchange rate has resulted in increased costs across the organisation.

“This called for a proper review and adjustment of our costs across board to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in the deployment of our factors of production in a bid to eliminate redundancies that we know exist, which resulted in some tough decisions, which means losing staff, including some of our colleagues.

“On Friday, October 14, 2016, we began the process of staff cutbacks as it is imperative to review our human capital deployment for the required cutbacks that would ensure efficiency and eliminate redundancies in the allocation of human resources.

“This first phase of this exercise involved the cutback of 36 expatriate staff across the Dangote Cement Plc and Dangote Industries Limited, and 12 local staff members in Dangote Industries Limited.”

As an organisation with international operations, the group promised that it would continue to review and restructure its human capital deployment to ensure “optimal allocation of skill sets and size of the workforce each function requires.”

In a related development, Dansa Foods Nigeria Limited, which claims to be a member of the Dangote Group, has reportedly been unable to pay its workers for the past six months.

The company, which produces Dansa Juice and other goods, had laid off more than half of the workforce following dwindling sales and high cost of production caused by high exchange rate of the naira.

The company had suspended the production of Dansa Juice and other products, and was only producing Mowa Bottle Water.

Obanikoro will account for N4.7bn fraud - EFCC

Former Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, will be made to account for the  N4.7 billion traced to firms linked to him, if he is found to be culpable, a top source in the commission, said last night.

The source, who spoke in confidence, pointed out that the case of the former minister, who is in the commission’s custody, would be treated strictly on its merit, contrary to insinuations that the agency ferried him into the country to be used as a prosecution witness against other suspects in the $2.1 billion arms cash.
“Let me make it clear that we did not bring the man from the United States of America to be used as a witness against any of the suspects we are investigating in respect of  the $2.1 billion arms cash scandal.
“No two cases we are investigating are the same and it must be made clear that Obanikoro’s case has nothing to do with any other person being investigated by the commission. The truth of the matter is that we are just beginning the investigation of Obanikoro and evidence adduced from the probe will determine our next move against him.
“But let it be made known that if evidence establishes that he committed the suspected financial crime, we will immediately charge him to court to show that we have no support whatsoever for corruption no matter who is involved.”
The official, who was responding to allegation by Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, that Obanikoro was brought in from the U.S to nail him, pointed out that the commission did not intend to use the former minister for any trial.
“The former minister has a serious case of fraud hanging on his shoulders and we were  about to declare him wanted after raiding his home and he still did not show up.
“We immediately took him for questioning as soon as he reported to the commission and his case would be determined by the evidence before us.
“Those who are making such claim have forgotten that the case against Dasuki is different from that of Obanikoro. We cannot use one suspect for another and vice versa. Each case is unique in itself and the suspects must answer for  their respective offences,” the source said.
The arrival of Obanikoro in Nigeria last Monday and the evidence he has given so far , has rattled Governor Fayose, who claimed last week that it was the EFCC, which arranged his visit to Nigeria deliberately to nail him.

In his statement to the EFCC, Obanikoro admitted giving Fayose  N2.23 billion and $5,377,000 in cash while his associate, Mr. Abiodun Agbele, got N1.3 billion.

Obanikoro admitted that the N1.3 billion was flown to Akure airport in two chartered flights for delivery to Agbele.

The former minister said he also gave N1.7 billion to a former Osun Deputy Governor, Senator Iyiola Omisore, but did not say what the money was meant for.

The money was sourced from the $2.1billion meant for arms purchase at the ONSA.

But Fayose has spit fire over Obanikoro’s revelations and accused the EFCC of bringing him from the U.S. under an arrangement to give him a ‘soft landing’ and use him to nail him (Fayose) and others named in the arms scam.

Former Norwich player Kei Kamara gets a yellow card for TWERKING!!!

While New England Revolution missed out on the MLS playoffs, striker Kei Kamara gave fans something to celebrate on Sunday.
Kei Kamara.
Kamara scored in New England's 3-0 win over Montreal Impact in the final round of the regular season - dubbed 'Decision Day' - but was penalised for his typical twerking celebration.

The enigmatic striker completed the scoring in the 71st minute, prompting a twerk - for the uninitiated, twerking is a popular dance move involving thrusting hip movements and a low squatting stance.

But the referee was not impressed, showing a yellow card to the 32-year-old, whose dance moves would have made Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown proud.

Brown received a $6,076 fine for his end-zone celebration in Pittsburgh's season-opening NFL win over the Washington Redskins last month. For what it is worth, Kamara's goal was impressive from a tight angle!

7 Samsung Galaxy S8 leaks reveal why it is worth waiting for

Rumor has it that Samsung plans to announce the Galaxy S8 device on February 26, 2017, which is one day before Mobile World Congress starts. And according to The Korea Herald, Samsung is already placing component orders for the Galaxy S8. The launch of the Galaxy S8 is a big deal because Samsung is looking to redeem itself in the smartphone market due to the massive Galaxy Note 7 recall caused by combustion issues.
Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.
There has been speculation about the features that will be included in the Samsung Galaxy S8 over the last year or so. Some of the changes will be minor, but there are seven notable rumored features that makes the Galaxy S8 sound worth waiting for:

1.) Edge-To-Edge Display Without A Physical Home Button

Samsung is reportedly going to be removing the Home button from the bottom of the Galaxy S8 in favor of a digital onscreen Home button. This would give the Galaxy S8 devices a full edge-to-edge display. The fingerprint sensor is expected to be integrated directly into the display.

Apple is also rumored to be removing the Home button from the iPhone in 2017 in favor of an edge-to-edge display. By offering a device with an edge-to-edge display in March, Samsung would likely gain a competitive advantage against the “iPhone 8″ by about 6 months.

2.) 4K Resolution Screen

Forbes contributor Ewan Spence said that the front of the Galaxy S8 is expected to have a 4K resolution screen (3840 by 2160 pixels). “Not only will this allow Samsung to market the smartphone as having one of the sharpest screens of any mobile device, it also makes the S8 into a suitable platform for the next generation of mobile VR. With each eye receiving a 2K ‘square’ display and a powerhouse graphics chip to drive the output, the Galaxy S8 will have the chance to be the machine that genuinely delivers on a portable VR experience,” wrote Spence in a blog post.

A display panel at over 800 pixels per inch would create a detailed and significantly immersive virtual reality experience while using the Gear VR. It also seems very likely that the Galaxy S8 will be compatible with Google’s Daydream View VR headset — which will be available starting next month.

3.) Dual-Lens Cameras

Samsung suppliers are reportedly filling orders for dual-lens cameras that take DSLR-like photos in terms of quality. For the Galaxy S7, Samsung sells some units with a Samsung ISOCELL S5K2L1 sensor and some units with a Sony IMX260 sensor. Perhaps Samsung will use its own components and a third party again for the Galaxy S8 with more megapixels and brighter lenses. It is unknown whether Samsung will be using all-in-one dual cameras or separated dual cameras.

4.) Exynos 8895 And Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 Chipsets

What type of chipsets will be in the Samsung Galaxy S8? I’m assuming the Samsung Exynos 8895 chipset will make its way into the Galaxy S8 internationally and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 chipset within the U.S. The Exynos 8895 reportedly has a 3GHz maximum speed and a 70% improvement in image processing efficiency compared to its predecessor, according to PhoneArena.

5.) Headphone Jack Removed In Favor Of USB-C Audio

Like the Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, the Samsung Galaxy S8 is reportedly not going to have a 3.5mm headphone jack. A USB-C port is expected to be used for wired headphones and charging. I would not be surprised if Samsung includes a USB-C to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter in the box just like Apple does with its Lightning to 3.5mm headphone adapters.

6.) ARM Mali-G71 Graphics Chip

Last month, Spence reported that the Galaxy S8 will ship with the ARM Mali-G71 graphics chips, which are very powerful. “The Mali-G71 GPU is scalable from one to thirty two cores and delivers up to 20% better energy efficiency, 40% better performance density and 20% external memory bandwidth saving compared to Mali-T880 under similar conditions,” says ARM in the description of the Mali-G71 website. The Mali-T880 is the GPU that is used in the Galaxy S7.

7.) Two Display Sizes, Both With Edge Screens

Samsung made a flat version and an “Edge” version of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S7 over the last couple years. But rumor has it that there will be two versions of the S8, both having Edge screens. The distinguishing factor will be display sizes: one being 5.1-inch and one being 5.5-inch. And the displays will be sourced from Samsung’s own Display division. Since both devices could end up having “edge” screens, it seems likely that the names used for distinguishing the devices will be the word “Plus” instead of “Edge.” So the devices may end up being called “Galaxy S8″ and “Galaxy S8

Mary J. Blige's ex-husband asks for a massive amount of money per month in temporary spousal support

According to TMZ, Mary's ex-husband Martin "Kendu" Isaacs is asking for an insane amount of temporary spousal support per month. Mr. Isaacs first put in his request for support in September.
Ex-husband Martin "Kendu" Isaacs and Mary J. Blige.
While Blige has filed to deny her former husband any money while they work out their divorce, Martin is asking for $129,319 EVERY thirty days. The singer's ex-manager believes it's a fair sum in light of the lavish lifestyle he's grown accustomed to over the course of their 12-year marriage.

In addition, Isaacs argues he's out of work now that he's no longer working for Ms. Blige.

As for the celeb's finances, she's about to make bank considering she's currently on tour with an upcoming album. In the past two years Mary has made about $1.5-$5 million dollars in revenue.

It will be quite interesting to see how this case plays out in court, especially since the two have a prenup. We wonder if a judge will believe Martin's claim that the prenup is void since it allegedly wasn't signed with his lawyer present.

Eto’o bets N34.4m on club’s relegation survival

Cameroon striker, Samuel Eto’o has placed a bet of 100,000 euro(about N34.4m) that his club Antalyaspor will not only beat relegation, but will finish in the top ten.
Samuel Eto’o.
Antalyaspor are stuck to the bottom of the Turkish Super Lig table and discontent is rife among fans. On Monday they were seconds away from winning their first league game of the season at the seventh attempt, but Rizespor scored in stoppage time to secure a 1-1 draw.

Eto’o went out to meet with many of the angered supporters after the match and didn’t just promise they’d finish in the top 10 despite their shocking start – he put €100,000 of his money where his mouth is.

One fan, named in Turkish press as Mehmet Akdeniz, asked Eto’o:
“We have Besiktas next, what will the state of the team be and when will we win?”
Eto, who answered through an interpreter, told him:
“We will finish in the top 10 of the Super Lig, I stand by what I said and my promise. “Believe me, I will give you €100,000 if we don’t finish in the top 10.”

Court sacks 2 Reps, to refund N73m pay

Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court, Abuja, sacked two members of the House of Representatives from Enugu State, yesterday.
File photo.
The judge ordered the two lawmakers, Stella Ngwu (Igbo-Etiti/Uzo-Uwani) and Dennis Agbo (Igbo-Eze North/Udenu) to immediately vacate their seats.

Their removal followed two pre-election suits that queried the process that led to their emergence as winners of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, primaries conducted in the state in December 2014.

Delivering judgments on the matter, Justice Abang ordered that the sacked lawmakers be replaced by Dr. Gabriel Okafor (Igbo-Etiti/Uzo-Uwani) and Chijioke Ugwu (Igbo-Eze North/Udenu).

He also ordered the removed lawmakers to refund to the coffers of the National Assembly, all monies they collected by way of salaries and allowances.

The court maintained that PDP and its National Working Committee, cited as 1st and 2nd defendants, respectively, had no right or authority to use another delegate list aside names of delegates that emerged from the congress the party held on November 1, 2014.

It directed the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to immediately issue certificates of return to both Okafor and Ugwu, even as it awarded N100,000 cost against the defendants in favour of the plaintiff.

While INEC was the third defendant in both cases, the sacked lawmakers, Ngwu and Agbo, were cited as 4th defendants, respectively.

With the ruling, each of the sacked legislators is expected to refund N36.733 million, less taxes, that he earned since June 2015.

Last October, the National Institute of Legislative Studies, NILS, released a set of documents, showing what constitutes the earnings of the 109 Senators and 360 members of the House of Representatives and a breakdown of what constitutes the monthly take-home pay of each federal lawmaker.

The figure shows that while a Nigerian Senator gets an annual basic salary of N2,026,400, a member of the House of Representatives goes home with N1,985,212.50 per year.

Besides, a Senator takes home a bouquet of allowances which takes his salary to N12,902,360, while a member of the House of Representatives goes home with N9,525,985.50 annually.

Surefire way to make 30% of your money every 30days in Nigeria

I heard about this legitimate program from a colleague of mine at work. Immediately, I began my findings to gather a few info about the program. Fortunately, I discovered that some online biz tycoons are already a part of the program.

I joined the program afterward without wasting time like Mr Gbolagade Adetunji who said "I was so foolish not to have jumped into it instantly".

Another internet business guru, Mrs Onone Maureen has net over N2,000,000 in profit during the past few months. It's never too late! As you can see in the image below, my initial donation was N50,000 and in less than 30days, I was around N24,000 (30% for the interest and some other bonuses will add up to that figure) richer.

Someone Bought A Venza From Money Generated From Nigeria MMM

Someone Bought A Car From Money Generated From MMM.

In the course of my research, I am of the opinion that the early birds will benefit a lot from this program.

Check out the following points:
  • The obvious will happen, the program will crash in the future.
  • The crashing will likely be anytime from next year.
  • The early birds like you and I, who register now will make cool cash from the program.
  • It's not a online/offline business but an unique opportunity that must be grabbed.
  • I will rollover in there for some months and cash out large chunk of my money.
  • Some part of my profit will be left there after I cash out and roll over for some months.
  • You will make money if you aren't greedy. Especially for those that can just remain there for just 2 or 3 months.
  • Read the processes involved below and digest. Once you are done, you will have to click on this link to register.

Provide Help completed.

Your Provide Help donation has been created and placed on queue and waiting for it to be matched with someone else who need help.

NOTE: Your bank account is MMM's account. MMM has no central account. So keep the funds intact till when the order that will show who to send it to will come in or matched.

This can take from 1day to 3weeks. BUT the GOOD NEWS is, your money starts growing from the day you provided the help and you have it on your dashboard as shown above. So it's a WIN-WIN situation.

When you are matched to actually make the donation/payment, you may get an email notice that looks something like this.

In MMM, you can get help of any amount of money you like.
This means each day, your money grows by 1% daily until the 30th day and then(if you have provided help or made a donation), you can get help of your 30%.

For example, the maximum amount you can provide help is N3.1million Naira the last time I checked and I advise the the minimum be N5,000 - N20,000 so that you can earn a reasonable 30% on it after 30days.

Take for instance, I provided help for the first time of N50,000, meaning on the 30th day I will get 30% of N50,000 as profit + my investment + bne time registration bonus.

30% of N50,000 is N15,000.

So the TOTAL amount of money I receive is N74,000 (N50,000 + N15,000 + N7,000)

Ensure you login to your account at least once a day  so as to know when your PH order is in or matched. To check your daily profit of 1% daily, which is in Mavros, login to your personal office and click on Mavros and you will see it as shown below.

I will then withdraw my capital and some part of the profit, and roll over the other profit with them for 2 or 3 months more before I will withdraw it all and bid them good bye.
